Proposed Board Rules

The following proposed rule changes are published in the June 14 Version of the Texas Register.

CHAPTER 131. ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION
SUBCHAPTER B. ORGANIZATION OF THE BOARD STAFF
22 TAC §131.35

The Texas Board of Professional Engineers (Board) proposes an amendment to §131.35, regarding employee training and financial assistance.
The proposed amendment to §131.35(d) changes the maximum amount of financial assistance from $900 per fiscal year per employee to $1500.
Jeff Mutscher, Director of Financial Services for the Board, has determined that for the first five-year period the proposed amendment is in effect there is no adverse fiscal impact for the state and local government as a result of enforcing or administering the section as amended. Mr. Mutscher also has determined that for the first five years the proposed amendment is in effect, the public benefit anticipated as a result of enforcing the proposed amendment is an increase in compliance of the Board's rules.

§131.35.Employee Training.
(a) - (c) (No change.)
(d) Financial assistance granted under this program shall not exceed $1500 [$900 ] per fiscal year per employee.
(e) - (o) (No change.)
